North central Indiana has been home for me for most of my life.  I live just outside the small rural town of Denver, Indiana. Two of my favorite activities are sewing and horses.  I started sewing very young, probably even before I was old enough to go to school.  My mother held me while I guided fabric through the needle.  From early teen years, I designed and made most of my own clothing, and then later, made clothing for my children.  I love making these beautiful shirts and am pleased that my customers like the designs. My love of horses began even before I could say the word, but barrel racing actually started at about age 10.   Barrel racing has taken me to events throughout Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois and Kentucky.  In the early 1980’s I joined the Women’s Pro Rodeo Association and participated in as many rodeos as time and distance would allow.  I had to schedule around my work schedule and family obligations.  In 1995 I took a break until the summer of 2005 when I found a young horse that I liked and sold my older horses.  I plan to go to some of the local shows this year to try to re-build my confidence after a 10 year absence.  It’s great to be going again.
